T-Mobile USA is opening a call center in Short Pump. Staffing the new call center will require the hiring of up to 650 new employees, according to Susan Humphrey, a T-Mobile spokesperson.
The wireless communication giant has taken a 10-year lease on a three-story building at 100 Westgate Parkway, near the corner of West Broad Street and Lauderdale Road. It will occupy the 91,752-square-foot building in September.
Headquartered in Bellevue, Wash., T-Mobile employs 36,000 people across the country. Parent company Deutsche Telekom is one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world, with nearly 120 million customers.
